ISL had to invest in both infrastructure and storage resources since the storage units completed a certain lifetime in the traditional architecture that has been used for many years. Hybrid Technologies gave the solution to ISL to upgrade the infrastructure to the latest technology for getting the best performance and increase reliability and availability and latest features. Upgraded from vSphere 5.0 to vSphere 6.0 and making a HA (High-Availability) cluster for migrating workload.
CHALLENGES
Today, the most critical asset for organizations is data. Data must be stored most adequately and processed when needed. ISL had to invest in both infrastructure and storage resources since the storage units completed a certain lifetime in the traditional architecture that has been used for many years. In the past, ISL used an infrastructure consisting of servers, SAN switches, and (old) storage units, referred to as classical SAN architecture, facing application performance issues. For getting better IOPS they must need to have the latest storage solution.
SOLUTION, RETURN ON INVESTMENT AND FUTURE PLANS
Hybrid Technologies gave the solution to ISL to upgrade the infrastructure to the latest technology for getting the best performance and increase reliability and availability and latest features. Upgraded from vSphere 5.0 to vSphere 6.0 and making a HA (High-Availability) cluster for migrating workload in case of any failure happened, also on some VMs dedicate the storage LUN to gain access for storing data directly on SAN LUN for better reliability and hardware base performance.
